4th of July

This photo was taken Friday, July 3rd at the Country Club. She had the cutest red, white and blue dress on and all the older ladies just loved her! (She had her red and white star shoes on for a little while, but preferred these red crocs seen in the photo).

Then Saturday, we went to the 4th of July Parade in Round Top with Kim, Brodie and Madison. It was a lot of fun! It lasted about 2 hours and it was so incredibly hot, but Hope had a good time watching all the "traktors" and the "4 wheelers". She got lots of candy (which we gave away), beads and the most important... snow cones and popsicles to keep cool!

Right as we got there, we ran into Hailey from day care and snapped these precious photos!

Later, Katie, Bryn and Kynzie joined us.

Here are some of my favorite photos of my All American Girl! This has got to be my favorite outfit on her too! I just love it!

The Many Faces of Hope!

The many faces of Hope! Yesterday it was Tomato Face and today it is Funny Face. You ask Hope for her Funny Face and this is what you get... she puckers her lips like she is ready to give you a big fat kiss! The other one is of her smiling with her little crinkle nose! This is just a face you can't help but love!

Tomato Face

Hope LOVES tomatoes! Last week Myrna (aka G.G.) gave me a huge bag of tiny (about the size of a dime) tomatoes form her garden. Hope must have eaten about 20 of them right away. She loves the way they pop in her mouth. Take a look! These are precious!

And here is a photo of Hope with her 4 wheeler. She has figured out how to press the button and go! I videoed it too and will post it later.

Poo Poo In the Potty!

Ms. Keri just called me a few minutes ago to tell me that Hope made Poo Poo in the Potty. YEAH!!!
Keri said Hope went up to her and told her "Poo Poo" so Keri put her on the potty. She said Hope cried a little as though she weren't sure if it was okay to Poo Poo on the potty since she had only gone tee-tee on the potty before. So Keri talked to her and rubbed her back and let her know it was okay and then Voila!! After she was finished all the other kids praised her and got so excited which in turn, made Hope realize she had just accomplished something!! I am one proud mamma!! Way to go Hope!!

Lake Somerville ~ Father's Day Weekend ~ Saturday June 20th

For Father's Day weekend, we went to Lake Somerville to spend the day with Uncle Barney, Aunt Janet, Austin, Emily and Reed (and some of their kinfolk on the other side). We had a great time!! We got there around 11 and left around 8pm. The only nap Hope had the entire day was a 10 minute power nap on the boat and she was GREAT!! Great is really an understatement... She was Amazing all day!! She only wimpered twice when she was running around the campsite and face planted (one time completely flipping over and doing a summersault) and literally ate dirt. She cried briefly - just long enough for us to wipe the dirt off her face and out of her mouth! Then she was back running and chasing her cousins. We went on the boat and swam in the water. Wayne, Austin, Emily and I took turns tubing behind the boat and had a great time! I laughed so hard and they were all laughing at me when it was my turn! My body was so sore the next couple of days!! It was a great day! And as Hope says "Happy Happy Daddy!"
