7 Months

Hope went to the Dr. this week for her shots and poor thing, got 4 shots and one oral vaccine. One of the shots was the first half of her flu shot. She gets the other half next month. She officially weighs 18 pounds, 5 ounces and is 27 inches long. These measurements are within the 75th percentile.
She had gained 15 ounces since our last appointment a week and a half ago. She has been talking like crazy... "Ba Ba Ba, Ma Ma Ma, Da Da Da". She is crawling all over the place and sitting up so nicely. She even pulls up on things and even took three steps while holding on to furniture at Ms. Keri's. She is a strong little booger!!
She is still so happy and is such a good baby!!

Crawling

Look who is growing up!! Miss Hope is officially crawling! She is pulling herself up to a standing position too. We can't turn our backs on her for a second! The other day, I was wrapping Christmas presents on the floor next to the bed and before I knew it, I looked back and she was in mid-air, head first, falling off the bed. Luckily, I caught her in mid-flight and no harm was done. Thanks goodness as she would have landed head first!! She has No Fear!!

Go Cowboys!

Everyone knows Wayne is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan, so my best friend from high school, Shannon and Jason gave Hope this precious cheerleader outfit. She is finally big enough to wear it and just in time for football season. Wayne couldn't wait to put this on her and watch their first Cowboys game together. Funny thing happened when I put it on her.... she spit up all over the front of it!!

Friends

Hope and Jaley shared their first wagon ride together last night! We were worried they would grab at each other and accidentally pinch or pull hair, but they didn't, they were good girls. They did want each other's toys though, but can you really blame them?
This is the exact wagon we (or Santa??!!) wants to get Hope for Christmas except we want the one that has a shade/canopy cover for those sunny days. I like it because the bottom opens up to a seat on either side and it has seatbelts, so they don't crawl out. It also has cup holders, isn't that neat??

On another note, we found out last week that Hope is allergic to Penicillin. She had been battling a cold for two weeks and it had gotten worse. Dr. said she doesn't have an ear infection, but her ears weren't completely healthy either- somewhere in between. Since her cold has gotten worse and her ears were in between healthy and not, she decided to go ahead and put her on antibiotics to avoid a full blown ear infection over the weekend and during the hurricane. Hope had her first dose of Amoxicillin Thursday night and then again on Friday morning. Friday around lunch time, Keri calls and asks if Hope had any bug bites on her when we brought her in. I told her no, we didn't see anything. Keri said, either she got bit outside during play time (which she didn't think was the case) or she has a rash. I went over there and looked myself and sure enough it looked like a rash to me, so I called the Dr. We gave her Benadryl immediately and went to see the Dr. Sure enough, she had hives and the Dr. confirmed her allergy. She said it was a mild reaction and to continue giving Benadryl until the hives were gone. We are now on a different antibiotic and everything is clearing up nicely. We are glad to know and so glad she didn't have a huge reaction.

Bikini Babe

These photos say it all!! These were taken two weeks ago at the pool. Within the last week, Hope has really been moving and shaking!! She laughed for Daddy for the first time last night and melted his heart! A week ago, she started talking. First it was "Na Na Na", then it was "Da Da Da". Then a few days later, "Ma Ma Ma". She is so funny... she looks like a little old lady with no teeth when she does it!! I will try to video it and post it soon.
This week, she started waving "bye, bye". Actually it is more crunching up her fingers in her hand, but she is doing it. Yesterday, I walked into pick her up from Ms. Keri's and she looked at me and waved almost like she knew what she was doing!! She isn't crawling just yet, but she is scooting all over the place. Last night, I had my brush on the bed and she would scoot across the bed to get it. I kept moving it from one side of the bed to the next and she got to it every time! It was so cute!! She also gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. I just keep waiting for her to take off!! She is truly amazing and each day is something new! She has such a wonderful disposition and a happy personality! We are having so much fun!!
